Reason we plant in Zambia

We plant in Zambia to mitigate the heavy environmental impact of the copper mining industry—a trade driven by global demands for the very electronics and housing we rely on every day.

While housing and construction stand as the largest consumers of copper imports in America, and nearly 100% of Americans enjoy electricity, approximately 46% of Zambians live without power. By rooting our fruit and shade trees directly in schoolyards, we are working to balance this global scale—actively restoring the environment and empowering the youth who will inherit the land.
